The activities of SYSAAF thus meet 4 major missions :

2 - Improve selection methods, dissemination and securing of genetic heritage in aquaculture, poultry or entomocole species in :

  • carrying out completed research and development work, in partnership with relevant research bodies, including INRAE, Ifremer, Anses, CNRS, private R&D partners and SYSAAF members,
  • developing technical and methodological know-how,
  • transferring this know-how and research innovations to member companies and vice versa by soliciting our research partners on issues arising from the field.

3 - Ensure access to dedicated services to optimize the procedures of our members as specific benefits, an audit and certification service for their selection processes and tools, training, or information from the bibliography or congresses. SYSAAF is also developing partnerships to provide them with specialized services on outsourced platforms, such as cryopreservation of their genetic resources, sequencing, genotyping and assignment of kinship through genetic fingerprinting, storage of biological samples, the realization of pathological challenges mastered in confined environments (Fortior-Genetics) or physicochemical measurements using spectrometric methods (SpecGen).

4 -Represent the interests of its members and SYSAAF to our institutional and professional contacts.
